About us

HYPEPEACE was born from recognising the powerful role political statements play within streetwear culture. It emerged as a satirical response to the height of “Hype” culture, poking fun at the absurdity of consumers lining up for hours to pay exorbitant prices for items of little substance. By subverting well-known brand logos and twisting their meanings, HYPEPEACE sought to add relevance and depth to the conversation.

Founded in 2016, HYPEPEACE gained early attention for its controversial bootlegging of the Palace Skateboards tri-ferg logo into a Palestine logo, incorporating the colours of the flag. The political topic was always contentious but as it gained popularity in the streetwear scene it became clear that social and political issues resonated deeply with the youth, concerns that were often underrepresented within the community. Thus, HYPEPEACE was born – a platform inspired by the Hypebeast movement but focused on leveraging fashion to highlight meaningful causes. We continued to release political statement pieces such as PRAY pour les Syriens, Immigrant, PAL17 and Lebanon, with proceeds donated to relevant NGOs and charities.

Founded by J and M, both from creative backgrounds and with strong social and political convictions, HYPEPEACE is their commitment to reshaping the fashion industry into something more purposeful—prioritising social good and community over pure commercial gain. Our mission is to create clothing that advocates for important causes, uniting like-minded individuals in a movement towards a more sustainable and conscious lifestyle.

Our Vision

At HYPEPEACE, we take a unique approach to amplifying the voices of the underrepresented. By boldly addressing important topics in spaces where they are often overlooked, we bring these issues to the forefront of public consciousness. Our mission is to continue shedding light on critical issues across diverse cultures and subcultures, fostering awareness and driving meaningful change.

We believe that true peace and justice can only be achieved through collaboration. By partnering with like-minded individuals and organisations that share our core values, we aim to create a collective impact that goes beyond financial support. We’re committed to empowering voices and amplifying personal stories. For instance, we’ve worked alongside talented Palestinian artists and collectives like Trashy Clothing, BNRC, LaComedi, FCPalestina, and Narcy, celebrating their creative journeys and supporting each other's work. Additionally, collaborations with spaces like Gordon Cafe (Israeli-owned), Groove in The Grass (Dubai), and Appear Here have helped amplify our message in spaces where our voices might otherwise have been muted. Through these partnerships, we’re creating a platform towards change.

Supported Causes

With every collection and cause we champion, we partner with a relevant NGO or charity to amplify our impact. To date, we have donated £28,150 to organisations such as Sharek Youth Forum, Help Refugees Aida Youth Centre, Red Cross, MAP (Medical Aid for Palestinians), Preemptive Love, and many others.

In addition to supporting existing initiatives, we launched Art for Palestine—a platform in collaboration with Aida Youth Centre in Bethlehem. This initiative funds the center’s art facilities, providing creative outlets for young people and inspiring future generations to pursue artistic endeavors. Through these efforts, we are committed to driving meaningful change—one project at a time—with a focus on empowering children, youth, and education.

Sustainability is also really important to us

At HYPEPEACE, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials and sustainable production practices. We work with certified Fair Trade and GOTS certified manufacturers and produce a large portion of our items in-house at our solar-powered studio. We’ve also started upcycling second-hand garments to reduce waste. While we’re still evolving, our goal is for 80% of our products to be upcycled in the future. Despite the challenges of working on a smaller scale, we remain dedicated to creating a more sustainable fashion future.
